JFM down $7.50 to $9.75 on a change from making money to losing big time. I have no idea how to value this now and as a result will stay clear - My deadcats dont seem to bounce. I need that book on the other 99 things to do with a deadcat

An exceprt from the NR on JFM
Management expects revenue for the third quarter of fiscal 1999 to be approximately $23.7-million which represents a 17 per cent decrease from $28.6-million in the third quarter of fiscal 1998. Net lossis expected to be approximately $7.2-million or 36 cents per fully-diluted share for the third quarter compared to net income of $2.9-million or 17 cents in the third quarter of fiscal 1998. Operating loss is estimated to be approximately $7.8-million compared to operating income of $4.3-million, for the same period last fiscal year.

I heard on BloombergTV that some US Broker are raising the required amount for margin from 50% to 60% on all stocks (or maybe it was just for techs) and that other brokers are telling their clients to cut their exposure to stocks, all this because of the fear of rising rates in the near future. Could be ugly for the following days...
