System was working slowly this morning, then ground to a halt around 7 PST. <have made eight trades and have yet to receive a single confirmation.> I have not had enough confidence in the reliability of the system to even attempt any trades today. This, together with yesterday's missed opportunities have cost me many $$$. What really gets me with Etrades's excuses is the Clintonspeak of saying "the phone lines have never been down". This is probably technically true, but how could one reasonably trade or access their accounts if the wait time for these phone calls routinely exceeds 1 hour??
