I guess we disagree on what burden of proof is necessary to tip the scale.

As an aside, Isaac Asimov, one of my favorite SF writers, was at a convention for the paranormal(UFOs, alien abductions and the like) and made a statement I found worth remembering. One of the speakers had just chastised the public for being unwilling to believe in some event or other. Asimov reminded the attendees of their own unwillingness to disbelieve.

It never hurts to maintain a little objectivity.
