Well, if this one's too heavy (you got to remember she's a girl, and 6lbs is like lugging around a gallon jug of water), I'll just get her a road unit -- probably get something decent for about $1300-1500. Thanks for the help everyone.

Based on the current chart, I'm tempted to jump back into NMGC. However, NMGC stated during a conference call last year (if I recall correctly) that it would be shipping its 3D 256 bit chip by the end of 1998. Yet I've seen no design wins for the chip.

Is the chip shipping? What's the story?
