Brent, great post. Although I personally buy books from Barnes&Noble. I have every reason to believe that the amazon site is bells and whistles above the B&N site.
The other "thing" that Bezos has going for him is, his customer collecting information system. It will be worth a fortune and corporate America will stand in line to buy it from him.

I believe it was in the last issue of business week. The leading on-line book seller to college students is Varsity.com.
Apparently they have the best selection and price.
