Venkie, Today again there is a massive selling of NDX futures going on. Someone believes that the market in ripe for a correction and is betting that way with huge leverage. Well they may succeed in getting their correction. And then again, they may not, in which case the marking to market phenomenon will ensure shortly that the short futures are covered providing rocket fuel (as some would say) for the tech sector. -Apratim. PS: While I prefer not to use margin in general, I applaud your buying of DELL this morning.

Hi VENKIE, It really does not matter what the reason is. This is when you buy. I am buying AOL and Dell big time this morning. Sitting on it does not make you near as much money as keeping money on the side and buying these irrational dips. Voltaire

buy and hold folks take a nap and just relax.... new to the group, but i consider myself a hybrid, buy and hold the quality(dell,msft,cpq,intc,csco,sunw,sap)...but keep the excitement and also the monthly income in my life by using my common as inventory, selling calls (leaps or short term, depending on the market dynamic), and of course selling puts on the issues i already own...low risk....good profit...kinda like having your cake and eating it too...sleep at night, but adrenalin flows during the day! happy trading
