RE:Has The Wave Crested? I posted this over on RB in response to Wahoograd's post RE:Has The Wave Crested?...For those of you who think the Wave has crested think again. Like Wahoograd stated in his post to which I am replying, this is only the beginning. Look, we all knew the day traders have found WAVX and are beginning to 'play' it. Day traders play the Message Boards and their focus has been drawn to Wave for obvious reasons, volume of messages points to a momentum opportunity. So in the last few days they 'played' WAVX hoping for a major announcement which would boost stock price. THEY HAVE NO IDEA REALLY WHAT WAVE DOES OR IS CAPABLE OF BECOMING!! To them WAVX is a message board volume driven momentum stock to be held for milliseconds, and then flipped for an eighth or a sixteenth, then in a blink of an eye they do it again! (Some of the more misfortunate ones use E-Trade so yesterday and today they probably tested their anti-perspirant to the max!) Like Wahoograd I believe Wave Systems will be a success in the future and I am hoping that this will translate into a much higher stock price. So for anyone taking the time to read this post, study the company. Go to the web site and do some research, follow this board, read what the financial technological press are writing about Wave Systems. Instead of thinking of Wave Systems as four letters (WAVX), a high message volume bulletin board and a stock to flip for a short term gain of an eighth or a sixteenth; try to understand the company, believe in its development and deployment, hang on for the future which a few of us think will be bright. Attempt to capture the preferential long term capital gains rate rather than split your sixteenth equally with Uncle Sam and 'Cousin Your State'. Remember timing this thing might prove interesting. Everyone, long term investors and day traders, are waiting for a major announcement. You might not be on your computer when it comes. Or you could be using E-Trade and not be able to access your account. Then this 'Wave' will roll off without you. Some of us 'surfing' and 'hanging ten' . You will have 'wiped out' and have to go back to finding another stock to play for an eighth or a sixteenth on a thousand shares, of course still sharing half of that with Uncle Sam and 'Cousin Your State'. In the words of a famous movie actor playing a certain character... "Do ya' feel lucky... Punk?.. Well,.. do ya'" Editors Addendum- As a RB poster mentioned there is a benefit to day traders- added liquidity needed to entice fund managers in. Perhaps so but I hope the fund managers are the buy and hold types.
