Satire is wit used to expose folly. So if it is satire, Biggs must be stating a folly. Presumably it is witty because it attempts to assert that a 20- 30% decline given the upside, is no big deal. This is the mental conditioning of the amateur. They can see that such a decline is no big deal because then stocks will start up for an even greater advance. They've discounted what the market can do. They just haven't discounted what the market is going to do to them. Your satire is gallows humor and given the kind of stocks you hold, you're standing on the trap door.
