LEVII and III just tools in the toolbox. Gut feeling is more important, 'cause it is you who must pull the trigger. In other words, I usually just get a feeling about something, more art than science, more good luck than anything else.

I think Level II (and time and sales) are often most useful for hindsight. I think you can get a better feeling for how a particular stock trades and the MM strategies. This contributes to your overall
judgment. To rely on it in real time is very dangerous.

I don't think much of MM's, and think they are of little use for
most NASDAQ issues, but I can understand their plight. If being a MM was as easy and lucrative as many often complain then investing would be a cinch. We would just all buy stock in the MM
firms or their parent companies.
