Caledonia, I wish I could share your optimism. You seem to think that SWS will do well price-wise precisely BECAUSE it is a fundamentally sound company. In my observation, that is a strike AGAINST it.

Take a look at all the high-fliers, in all the hot sectors. Which companies do the best of all? The feeblest. They go up just because they are going up. And of course, if the float is small, they go up even faster than the larger companies, because of the demand.

Do you really think that more than 5% of the people buying these stocks look at the fundamentals?? As far as they are concerned, there is no difference whatsoever between SWS and a shoddy outfit like JBOH, say, except that the latter has more momentum than the former.

Good companies have not been doing well, for the most part, in the current market environment. They get hammered for the smallest misstep (coming in a penny under earnings -- or even over earnings), while junk is gobbled up. And that is because most buyers never hold the junk for more than a day or two. Why should they care about the future prospects of a stock, as long as it is hot today?
