A person who actively goes out and buys a ZIP drive is much more likely to be a heavy disk user than one who buys a computer and is surprised by the extra hole in his computer!

My dad bought a computer a year and a half ago that had a ZIP drive in it and he has yet to use it. It's funny - he has a 6 GB hard drive, 64 MB RAM and a Pentium 200 but all he ever does is play Hearts and dial up AOL to check his stocks.

I realize one anecdote does not even begin to tell the whole story and he may or may not be representative of "most" users, but I wouldn't be surprised if there were many more people like him.
