Pat, there is a huge difference between a born animal, either human or beast, and an unborn, undeveloped fetus.

The Abortion conflict will never go away. You have two sides. One side can't approve of the destruction of a fetus. The other side can't approve of the destruction of a woman's reproductive rights.

I would love a world where abortion was never necessary. (Of course, I would also love a world where I didn't have to work so many hours. <g>)

But, alas, overpopulation, disease, rape, incest and mistakes all are making abortion more and more necessary.

The urgency of the mess we are making of this planet is coming more clear as we are witness to more unnatural disasters caused, in part, by global warming. World reefs are dying out. Mudslides, due to the stripping of forests, are making huge areas uninhabitable. It's not a pretty picture for your fetuses to look forward to.
