Jim and thread,

I just had an unusual theory. Does anyone think that AMD's cancellations are actually part of a conspiracy to lower the stock price? Think, this will allow people who are in cohoots with the conspiracy to buy AMD at low, low prices, before AMD shoots back up.

After all the good news (hype?) from "We're Back" Sanders, along with imminent releases of the K6-3 and the K7, I find it very hard to believe that things can suddenly take a turn for the worse in AMD-land.

In any case, I'll probably hop back in to this stock very soon.

Re: "Lets face it...Kumar is incoherent."

You're just figuring this out now? Either he is completely clueless, or he has a bad grudge against AMD for making all his erroneous estimates look silly and thereby revealing his ignorance.

Re: "Who said anything about divulging sources. You don't even have a source do you? I wasn't talking yields anyway, just the cost of a Celeron. $50 $60, $70?. It could be a little under $50 according to my
calculations."

How can you calculate cost if you weren't talking about yields? There is a relationship you know. As for sources, just because your's turn out to be wrong is no reason to take it out on me. I can't reveal what I know about Intel's costs except to say they are well under your lowest estimates. Don't believe me if you so chose. Does it really matter?
