Hi Mark,

As I remember Apple filed the suit around April last year. S3 bought the patents around August of 97. From what I can tell, Apple is a total horses ass to waste their share holders money with such a goofy suit.

Apple basically drove Exponential out of business by telling them to build a fast processor for the Macs, and after spending a ton of money on R&D, Apple told them they didn't want it. Exponential acted in good faith to liquidate assets to pay off creditors and share holders, then filed a suit against Apple for putting them out of business. The counter suit by Apple is a joke. The chances of S3 having to give back the patents are almost nonexistent.

Regards,

Don

Mark,

From what I've read, ditto Don's comments from 12700. FWIW.

Good luck,
Rob
