The news is that ECILF reported earnings a penny ABOVE estimates. The street only likes stocks that lose money. <Only partly ggg>

I suppose this is one of those whisper number things: ECILF came in above official estimates, but below "whisper number" estimates.

I hate that. To be fair, Zacks ought to publish the "whisper numbers" as well as the consensus estimates. Otherwise, individual investors (as against institutional investors) are at a hopeless disadvantage.

Short term could be volatile for ECILF with King Hussein creating some instability in the middle east. Depending on how the transition goes, ECILF could drop considerably in a knee-jerk reaction.

ECILF was already undergoing a correction without this, and corrections are not done in a day. And on top lf all this many members of the sector who were far more overvalued are correcting big time (Newbridge, Lucent, TellLabs, even Cisco).

The "upgrades" were tempting, but this does not override nervous investors. To those who wait, ECILF will be one of their best trades in 1999, if we're lucky we might be able to back the truck up at $30.
