TORONTO, Feb. 4 /CNW/ - At the request of The Toronto Stock Exchange, Globelle Corporation (''Globelle''), a distributor of micro-computer and
related products, announced today that it was approached by and is in
preliminary discussions with a third party with respect to a transaction
involving the acquisition of the outstanding shares of Globelle. A special
committee of the board of directors has been established with respect to these
discussions.

Globelle is a distributor of micro-computer products including notebooks,
servers, desk-top computers, disk drives, monitors, terminals, printers,
communication products, local area networks and software products. The Company
has operations in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom and Israel.

The common shares are traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the
symbol GLP.

I would like to add more information to what you see in the press release, however, I am not in a position to do so, at this time. We are a public company. Anything I tell you has to be released to the general public at the same time. I am committed to keeping you fully informed. and will announce more information, as soon as it is appropriate to do so.
