Crude getting pasted today -- down 30 cents. OSX down 2.2% -- not too bad considering.

marc C; Interesting things yet to come for FGI imho...

What is now being clearly established is that this company is a true ''rising star'' type of a company. FGI is - unquestionably so; clearly becoming the ''yard'' of choice. These guys are taking business from Korean/Canadian/Domestic competitors - they are doing the job. Even in a down enviroment - there is a substantial amount of buisiness out there. FGI is PROVING to the Street that they are indeed separating themselves from the pack. They are becoming the leader; not unlike RIG in deepwater drilling, VTS/PGO in Seismic work etc. They are proving that they will get ''MORE'' than their fair share of work even in a down enviroment. I am very, very, very impressed with this companies competitive ability within their market niche. These guys are winners and I be loving Winners !

If FGI grows EPS in 1999 over 1998; what do you think they will do in 2000-2001 ? remember this was a strong $32-40 stock LAST year and they look to earn more money THIS year than last ! - HELLO STREET ! mo money = mo share price ! This company could separate itself from the pack like VTS, CXIPY and FGI itself did last year in the March to May Rally.... No reason on earth when earnings come out that FGI is not a $16-18 stock overnight and with any positive trend in API/IEA numbers - I can see $20-24+ in 6-8 weeks !

PS - only 558,000 shares traded in FGI today - think about that when there are 2,648,000 short shares ! - gotta love them apples - Caaaa Ching !

If anyone thinks buyig FGI here is chasing a ''popper'' - think again' shorts are pondering here ? Do they come back tomorrow and try to take here down, cover slowly over time, or just capitulate & cover - en masse prior to what could be a ''Killer'' Earnings release ? ...and remember; the bulk of those 2.6 Million ''shorts'' are not really ''trading'' shorts imho - per my ''hedge'' theory - FGI has a built in 2nd stage ''boost'' waiting to happen when they get ''unlocked'' - and unlocked is the correct word - and that's how they will ''cover.'' Watch the $2-3 mini-pops at $18-20; $24-26+ ....

FGI is the #1 play here; if one waits untill earnings - do you buy @ $18 ?

The time to catch a frontrunner is at the ''starting blocks'' - not on the 3rd turn .... good luck
