Lithium Polymer Cells to be Produced

Lithium polymer cells will be domestically produced.

For the first time, Hanil Valence is setting up a mass production site for the lithium polymer cells. A pilot
line that can produce a sample of lithium polymer cells. They can be loaded inside a notebook PC as it
was announced on October 21.

Hanil Valence will produce sample of lithium polymer cells and there are two kinds one of which has width
10cm, length 10cm, thickness 4mm and capacity of 4,000mA/h. The other kind has the same width and
length but thickness 4.6mm with a capacity of 4750mA/h.

This sample will be produced and supplied to major notebook PC companies and the performance is
tested and know-how will be applied to mass production equipment.

Hanil Valence invested 50 billion Won and is building a plant in Yong In City and from the middle of next
year, 1 million unit of cells will be produced.
