Gary I know very little about costs associated with rig operation. I was quoting a guy who does (Big Dog), who is Mike Simmons, a Texas-based rig broker with about 20 years exp in the patch who is a frequent poster here when he is not jetting around the world. I think he is currently in Norway. If you are contemplating investing in this sector, I would advise you to carefully read each edition of his newsletter, available free at loosbrock.com Mike tends to talk more about the current and future prospects of the underlying businesses rather than the market action of the stocks. IMO, he is NOT optimistic about business prospects and sees only a trading range in OS stocks prior to a sustained upturn in oil prices. John
