The exit door is just what I am looking for. My short positions have not gone well and I would be lucky to get my money back let alone make a profit. But my short positions are small relative to my long positions so I spend more time thinking about my long positions.

Today really sold off across the board. Even the untouchables SUNW, DELL, MSFT, INTC etc. took a hit.

Yes, however that will be very sharp and very short lived. With the unemployment and inflation at such low levels, a sitting duck congress not being able to get much done, and a savy investment mentality of the employed population, so much money is sitting on the side waiting to enter the equity market (and especially to grab the high tech shares). Too bad I am short of cash at this time with our escrow being closed in about 4 weeks, otherwise I would buy more of semi stocks.
