Zook and Arthur,

I listened to the conference call today at 4:45 (and yes, the estimate was between $.22 and $.24 range, and they hit the low end at $.22). A couple of observations about the conference call:

Opening: Lot of numbers thrown out! E-commerce sounds positive! Record revenues, etc. The company seemed particularly proud about their decrease and improved management of DSO (from 110 to 95 I think)and improving cashflow.

Q&A: I believe the first three or four questions (asked by different analysts) all started off with the analyst saying "Great job" and/or "Great Quarter guys". I think this is very important and bodes well for shareholders who are long in DSTM. Those kind of opening comments in the Q&A usually transfer into continued or stronger analyst support - hopefully upgrades and rise in EPS for 1999- I hope!).

Closing Statement: Weak. Larry B. was brief (almost curt) in his closing comments. He quickly summarized some key (positive) points and said goodbye. Personally, I would have liked him to end with a more personally statement about enhancing shareholder value and talk about the future.

Class-Action Suits: Nothing said. No questions asked on this subject. Perhaps the reason for Larry's "brief" closing statement is that the current class-action suits makes it awkward to go into the details we were use to hearing on past conference calls - there was very little editorial commentary this afternoon.

As for tomorrow, a rebound with the Nasdaq (as a backdrop) I think would help a lot. If we get upgrades by tomorrow (probably too soon) I think we see some support. Perhaps the "uneducated" take us lower tomorrow solely based on "missing expectations by $.01" rather than looking at the company's promise for 1999. We shall see. Comments everybody???
