These are incredible numbers. From gross revenue, tangible increase here, to earning est. that was .22 and whisper .24 and they delivered .57.

Have not looked at the nitty gritty details though since there are supposed to be softimage related write-offs etc. so I guess will have to wait a bit but on the surface, operating numbers are good.

Miller and company do run a tight ship. Wish they were running my other investment in this sector, DSLGF.

Can anyone explain what "tax effected" means? And what about the part discussing "IPR&D and not reporting net income..."? I understand that the SEC has been cracking down on excessive IPR&D writeoffs, but how can AVID issue any numbers with this hanging open?

The revenue, receivables and comments look good, but I am a bit puzzled and concerned by the verbal gymnastics.
