I agree that JMAR is not "out of the loop" just because it appears to be in the XRL minority. They could get back in if their expertise could further another aspect of EUV or scalpel. However, if XRL never materializes at all, credibility would suffer. If nothing of value comes out of JMAR's years of XRL touting they'd never be taken seriously again IMO. I think respect for JMAR may be dwindling and their time clock is running out. If they don't produce their XRL units in 1999 it would be a sham.

Go back and look at Mr. Martinez's IBD article Oct. 13, 1997:

QUESTION: When could JMAR's X-ray source hit the market?

ANSWER: We expect some important demonstrations before the end of this year and early next year. We're forecasting that we'll start getting some orders before the end of next year, (which will be used in) our customers' research-and-development efforts.

It should be pointed out that the Investor's Business Daily interview was at a point when more DARPA money was in doubt for XRL. It urks me (as you know), that he has since blamed lack of DARPA money on the delay.
