AMD enters into multiple month delivery contracts with a possibility of renegiotiation for price each month. A typical contract might be for three months or up to a year. The more definite and longer term the higher preferences during shortages.

Very likely Intel had very speicifc pricing in quotes for March delivery with their new Celerons. AMD had to specifically respond to assure that the customers would actually take what they booked.

Any of the top tier customers employees in the loop may have leaked to the analysts the pricing environment.
