and CLX. Bad entry, but I can wait things out. Small positions there. But have puts on some techs ... March and April Some look good, some not so good, but time will tell. I'll just hold for our retrace -- 1280 seems like a long ways away to me, but then again I'm easily surprised. Hope you do well with the OEX calls ...

David, trin5 is 4.37, up from 3.97 yesterday and a long way to go to 5.00 or 6.00 or more. Mac oscillator ratio is at -28. It still has not reached -60 (or more) and has been in a congestion pattern for a couple of weeks. It is due to get there imminently, at this point in the 55 day pattern. Check out the mac ratio oscillator getting to -60 or more at this point, before the subsequent rally which precedes the slammation, in April '98, February '94, August '92, August '87. Check out September '29 also. Vitas

David I meant looking at certain popular stocks as bellweathers, since the breadth had been so narrow. Yesterday I was looking at the action in MSFT and CSCO -- thinking that there might be more downside today. I could have taken some pretty good gains today, but it appears that some of the lousy fundamentals in the PC area are beginning to get realized - perhaps we bounce, but I'm expecting to clean up by March and April expiry ... Hope you punted your hedges today and were enjoying the ride down once we broke what you considered to be a key level ...
