All of these look like good ideas.

But I've thought more on the subject of IP tracking. While we are comfortable with SI knowing our identity, many of us expect this site to protect our anonymity. An unannounced re-direction to another site that tracks IPs appears to violate that trust. Especially when given the past history of certain posters...Some of whom have used every method imaginable to unmask those who they see as enemies. This included peppering ISPs with complaints about other members, Contacting employers to warn them that individuals are on SI all day etc... So, to me, it appears that the current set-up includes a loophole that could be abused.

Then again, I've been promising myself a manicure since before "The Goose" flew...
