I do a bit of both but a higher percent of my profits come from the position trades. I tend to day trade stocks less than $20 with at least 300K average daily volume. My swing trades can last up to a couple weeks and are based on TA primarily.

If you plan to buy The Electronic Day Trader I saw it was selling at like 50% off list price. I think it was a flyer I received from EQUIS, the company Steve Achelis owns (he wrote Technical Analysis From A to Z). Or go to equis.com and they have a "bookstore".
