I don't own E*Trade stock and very glad I don't at this point. I am tired of hearing their excuses about how busy they are. You are right about learning to trade and having systems built for redundancy. Not only was etrade down but my ISP went down about twenty minutes before market closed. I had to switch over to AOL online backup account over a long distance line as they have no local line and then access all of my accounts again. Made for an interesting day and a loser of a day. The fact is etrade was down and they cost a lot of people a lot of money including me. No excuses will change that and the stock price will probably suffer from it. Either they get it fixed or they lose customers. If I were a stock holder with them I would be asking some very pointed questions. I know I will be trying to adjust my system to work better and that will include finding an alternative to the BS I got from Etrade today.
