I think I answered that question in the last post. I try to avoid anything scriptual with you. I don't want you to break out in hives or anything. I'll try to paraphrase in my own words. Islam recognizes the choice of people to disobey Allah, and confirms that there is nothing to be done about that choice. Its really none of my business. My only responsibility is to provide information when an opportunity presents it self to people who want to know about Islam. Allah calls who Allah wills to his religion. I have no power or authority to "convert" or change anybody. When someone chooses to oppose that information I am forbidden to continue. We accept that you are going to believe what you believe and we will continue to believe in the Word of Allah and neither of us, by debate, will change one another. We don't have priests or saviours, and don't believe God sacrificed anything so we could all go to heaven. Passing on the message to those open to it is enough. We, the Muslims, need to be aware of his messages to get an understanding of what works (what is right: righteous) for our human existance. It seems to have panned out for sincere people in history and to have back fired on proselytizing and oppressive hypocrites; as history, the scripture, and people like you readily point out. In fact, we believe we could all perish in filth and it wouldn't effect God even a twinkle. If it did the all powerful thing doesn't wash does it. The other big religion claims God needs us and is all frustrated over our sinfulness and unwillingness to get in line. Kind of a whimpy idea of the creator and sustainer of the universe. Oh well. You are perfectly welcome to take it or leave it.
