Ish,
I certainly agree that no evidence should be with held for any reason. But it is, and evidence is manufactured, faked, false testimony coerced. If ambition and other reasons this is done were removed from the equation we could have a better system.

"I may be nuts but I still believe in capital punishment."

Then I take it you feel quite safe, now that the 100s of innocents who have been executed by cyanide gas, electric chair, hanging, firing squad and lethal injection are no longer around to endanger our streets?

This is not a moral position. If you have respect for innocent human life you cannot support capital punishment. And if you believe, as I do, that an individual's greatest right is the right to his or her own life, then to have it stolen away by any imperfect system is beyond a travesty. It is evil in its purest form and all who sanction it are morally, murderers, including prosecutors who seek it, juries who vote for it, judges who pass the sentence, guards and wardens who, like "good" Nazis, "only follow orders" and even the governors and state legislators who support it.

It is the highest crime a State can perpetrate on an innocent individual, and it is done in the name of "justice". Bah, they are murderers, plain and simple. As guilty as the guilty who are executed. In time history will record them for the immoral barbarians they are.
