I went short big time on Thursday (dell, csco, yhoo, wcom, msft, amat and ratl) and then got killed on Friday (and I was long on psft friday so I got killed there to) and Monday. So today I am breathing a little easier but I need another down day tomorrow to be whole again. I don't think the market is going up in the next couple of weeks but I plan on closing these positions tomorrow if the market is down again.

Tim,
Agree with you about the gloom & doom on CNBC. It's the same thing every week. I'm sick of listening to them. Anyway, are you still holding PAIR through this bump in the road? I'm hanging in there with it.
JK

Tim, if not for the etrade meltdown about 9 my time this morning I would have been out of CSCO at around 109 instead of holding it at the close price of 105 1/2. If I can turn it in the AM at 107 I will and then find others to increase the cash. Not a thing that you need to explain or apologize for. I would like to hear whatever you can share about PAIR because Monday I am headed to Vegas for 4 days and will be half out of touch with trading until Friday. If I need to set limits I would like to have an educated guess otherwise I will go back to cash to keep the worry to a minimum.

Hi Jane.

Bill

i have been getting several messages with people telling me sorry to hear about my csco loss.

it's no big deal....each and every month i take a loss in a stock or two or three.....at least i can be honest and admit my losses where some people only to claim a 100% success rate....LOL
