Did a bit more research at Yahoo on QWST.

The split was announced on Jan 20 1998, a Tuesday. It closed that day at 68 1/2. Since Jan 19 was a trading holiday the previous day was Friday Jan 16 when QWST closed at 64 15/16.

It is my belief that the board voted on the split at the latest before the market opened on Jan 20, 1998. If the board has similar feelings about the future of QWST in today's market and the price they would like QWST to maintain we could be very close to another split.

Me, I'd much prefer two fives to one ten.
