Well, the big boys wanted to bring the techs down today. They have been trying all week, and were waiting for a good excuse. But all they had was good news. Brazil was stabilizing, the Fed did not raise interest rates, economic numbers were good, there was a rate cut in Europe. So they brought them down anyway and for an excuse they said that maybe interest rates will rise in the future, even though there is no evidence of inflation or of the Fed having changed policy.

I just wish the big funds, the investment houses, and the big investors would just say they coordinated their sell programs and brought the market down because they though it was getting ahead of itself. Funny thing how when the market gets ahead of itself they blame the retail investors. But when the market sells off in a coordinated fashion like this, they make up excuses instead of blaming the institutional investors.
