JLT, thanks for the answer. Of course you and all posters have the right to post their views as well as references to the views of others on the Y2K problem. You also can rate other posters by whatever means you desire. I only wish we (myself included) could disagree without personally attacking those with different views. However, given the impersonality and anonymity of the Internet this does not seem likely. Comments about the ancestry or intelligence level of one's opponents can be fun but generally do not add strength to one's case. Al
