I hope so...it would be quite a nice bump...

BTW, how do capital markets account for foreign shares? Does ORCL dilute its shareholders by issuing more shares on foreign exchanges?
In other words, does this increase ORCL's market capitalization?

Just curious...I really have no idea.

Oh yeah, imagine the signal this sends...a struggling NIKKEI bounces ORCL up to 100. Gotta be a good sign for here in the US.

I tend to think that the Nikkei ORCL can only help here - I fail to see otherwise. I feel that the announcement of a stock split one month before earnings are announced is a good sign of confidence. Remember that ORCL has been upgraded recently, and Larry Ellison has been extra vocal as of late concerning his low opinion of MSFT's tactics. My hunch is that these are all signs that things are going well for the company. I saw an ad for Oracle recently in one of the computer mags that basically said that the internet is paved with software from Oracle... as in the movie, when the Alliance took on Darth Vader, we know who won, eh? All the best,
Don Corleone
