02/04 19:08 KMC Telecom extends agreement with Lucent <LU.N> BEDMINSTER, N.J., Feb 4 (Reuters) - KMC Telecom Holdings Inc. said Thursday it extended an agreement with Lucent Technologies Inc. that extends Lucent's contract to provide complete network solutions for KMC. The four-year contract extension has a potential value of up to $600 million, KMC said in a statement. Lucent will supply KMC, a competitive local exchange carrier, with switching, transport, access and data products, and software and professional services. Lucent will also provide KMC with $250 million in equipment financing for the build-out of additional markets, KMC said. The financing is expandable-under certain terms and conditions-up to a total of $600 million.
