Ideally I think (many disagree) that BGO is a really good buyout opportunity right now. Now because of Refugio but because of their other great projects. A bigger company like Barrick, Placer or Battle Mountain could scoop up Bema at a good price and when gold recovers, these big guys have very nice properties to mine. Good properties in the long-term for short-term low prices. Makes sense. Heard some people throw around Kinross. I don't think Kinross would buy Bema, at least not for Refugio. Pete

John, I have been trying to understand the economics of Cerro Cassale. From what I can gather from the news release so far, I have come up with the following;(I am no expert) From one ton of rock: 0.71 gm x 74% recovery = 0.53 gm or 0.0168923 oz and 2000 lb x 0.26% x 89% recovery = 4.8 lbs therefore, in 59.2 ton of rock, we will produce 1 oz Au and 284.15 lbs Cu On the cost side: cash cost/ton =$6.35 or $375.92 for 59.2 ton capitol cost per oz = 182 - 79 = $103/oz Total cost for 59.2 ton 375.92 + 103 = $478.92 or $8.09/ton If cc is to be economical, we must have the following 0.0168923 x pog + 4.8 lb x p of Cu > 8.09 using 300 gold and .70 Cu 0.0168923 x 300 + 4.8 x .7 = 5.07 + 3.36 = 8.43 > 8.09 I think cc will turn out to be economical at current metal prices. Regards.(there may be mistake in my assumption, I could be wrong)
