To Harold et al.:

I think it's smart management to decide against pursuing a deal with Aquasearch. The company needs to remain focused. As Peter Lynch has oft repeated, diversification usually winds up being "diworsification". Regardless of the future potential of agribiotech, it's best for them to keep their eye on the ball right now.

For those that follow The Motley Fool (fool.com) it appears that biotech may soon become an area worthy of discussion in their forum. They recently purchased Amgen for their "rulebreaker" portfolio and have hinted at the fact that future purchases may involve this sector. For those unfamiliar with the "Fool", their buy and hold portfolio of less than fifteen stocks pummeled the entire mutual fund universe this year (5120 funds) with a 210% return. The portfolio has annualized ~70% since it's inception in 1994. I mention this because these guys have demonstrated extraordinary talent at being the first ones at the party. They tend to arrive before the bandwagon does. Their fundamental analysis of Amgen is good reading and available for free on their site. I have no affiliation with, or financial stake in their enterprise ( I wish I did...).

Hi Harold,

I believe that IZP has also broken thru a 2 year
downward trend as well.
Would you have a chart site for Canadian dollar?

Charles
