Ten,

Let me generalize my question:
Intel is using profits from non-Celeron business sectors to try and drive AMD out of business. Do you dispute this statement?

Ten, >>>And of course, some of Xeon's profits also has to go into
software and OS support, guidance for those who build Xeon servers for a living,
development towards increasing RAS for servers (â„¢Tony Viola),...<<<

Good grief, I can't stake any claim to a trademark for RAS! <g> Thanks anyway. The argument du Jour, on whether Intel is trying to put AMD out of business...I doubt that very much, if for no other reason than the fact that the DOJ and the FTC do exist. I guess the proponents of the predatory and bully adjectives would want Intel to hold back technology prowess, and let the little guy limp along to catch up. Analogy, Denver - Atlanta game: Elway has to throw his first three passes right at Atlanta DBs. AMD analogy: they'd drop them all anyway.
