Yes I was aware you were addressing VDSL. My point was general to xDSL and was addressing the issue of deployment of DSL along with the motivation, or the newly found motivation of the old TELCOs to compete. I chose you because of these comments you made.... "Another point: It's going to be tough enough to get the telopoly to open up their wallets to putting equipment in their nice secure CO's. I'm wondering how eager they'll be to putting it curbside all over the place. We'll get there, but I suppose it'll be later rather than sooner for many of us."
