Blank, I agree with your assessment. The jobs data shows more than expected wage gains and higher employment levels than expected I think. Hopefully, after yesterday's downdraft this will not affect the market too much. We will see. tim

Sorry, but I disagree, folks.

With all the one-time; acquisition-related; and other odd-ball events taken out of the picture... what comes thru is a company with solid revenue & profit growth.

This company continues to post odd ball events which distort the bottom line. So your comment on revenue is valid, but the profit growth is confused. (I would speculate that the writeoffs are proper accounting but that they stretch the envelope with the items and valuations that they are writing off.) And now $8.8 million restructuring charge? That's 10% of revenue for the year! Anyone could make a profit if expenses like that are excluded. (Next comes posting the legal expenses to NRE.)

How do you value a company who is obviously over-doing the write off game? I think you either mentally tweak down the future EPS projections and try to proforma what they would be with more traditional accounting, or you lower the future PE expected. Either way -- same answer.

I do not appreciate continued over aggressive maneuvers like this. I am surprised that the stock price reaction is favorable.

adios & good luck longs,
