Interesting analogy, but seriously, Brooke, it would be foolish not to use binoculars in that situation.

However, if the aircraft were sitting on the runway in clear weather, do you think the radar screen would be of much help? I don't mean to sound arrogant, but I can spot a takeoff roll when I see one. Without the aid of instrumentation.
