Buckey John, There's no doubt about what you said: "They will put in false orders to scare away buyers or sellers" I watched yesterday when they had an ask for 21,000 and trade after trade went through while the ask remained at the same amount. Today I have seen 10,000 sit on the ask while many trades went through and it never diminished. All of a sudden it will change, and then another amount will appear, and it will sit on that for a while. If they don't want buying they just put a large amount up on the ask, and it scares away potential buyers. That's why I told someone the other day that market depth means nothing. Like the weather, it can be there and gone depending on whether they want it to go up or down.
