John, My problem isn't Fido as much as it is being long an overpriced stock market. I like Vanguard's more conservative funds, Wellesley and Star in this environment, along with their intermediate Treasury funds. But, mostly, on my few longs, I like Closed End Funds selling at deep discounts. If you can do self-directed, look at HQH, SOA, AFF, IFN, SAF, APF, LDF, TCH, IAF and ACS. Caveat emptor. I was once the portfolio manager on ACS, so I may be prejudiced.
