Yes Ken but what is different today is a resonable increase in price if indeed these are real buys of the stock.. there could be some covering going on, but to expand on what KMT said about how will you know if the shorts cover, I have had a bb open up 1 and a half and on another occasion up 2 and a half, a direct result from short covering, another option is they have to go to the market and buy, which they don't wish to do....if/when they have to cover you keep your eyes open
