How strange!

I once had an extremely rich acquaintance explain how judges fell into three categories: "NORBS," "slobs," and "slicks."

NORBs: NOrmal, Ordinary Barristers who once getting a taste of power as a judge petitioned to be appointed for life;

slobs: Judges who will go with the political wind. If they are around ordinary people they will be honest; if around politicians they will turn crooked.

slicks: A predator. The type of hanging judge who chomps at the bit to hand out sentences of execution for any perceived transgression -- even jaywalking.
