Neil: Aren't you glad you got out of CRUS! I'm sure CPQ at $42.5 is a good buy. The speed of this dip might be an indication that it will be over soon, or that there might be a dead cat bounce today or next week. However, I just feel that the techs have to be thoroughly wrung out. CPQ is not as fully valued as most of the others, so perhaps the worsed is over. But history sits like a vulture on my shoulder. A couple of years or so ago, CPQ reached $51. I sold all my holdings. The next day it turned south. I couldn't wait to get to a phone and bought 50,000 at $44. It jumped to $45 and then proceeded to $41. The next day it carried on down to $37. Over a couple of weeks it recovered to $39/40 then took about 8 weeks to get back to $43. Earnings announcement brought it back to $47 and after that it was onwards and upwards. I know the two periods are not comparable but it is a cautionary tale.

All the injuries make me a bit worried about the Boro match. Glad that Hoddle has gone. A BBC poll puts Venables well into the lead for replacement followed by Keegan and Ferguson with Wilkinson a distant 6th.
