Spots,

I think I see why we differ. I don't create round labels for the CD's using that program. I have CD Stomper Pro which has its own proprietary software written in Shockwave. Its slow and extra nasty, far worse than the adaptec software. Therefore I created a photoshop template that I use for this purpose. Generally I don't like labeling the disks themselves with anything other than a Sharpie. The CD's that generate the most noise in high speed players seem to be the labeled ones. my car player doesn't really like the label much either.

I use easy cd creator to create the CD Jewel Case Covers. The templates it provides for this work great. Its easy to drag in some pics using its OLE features (You can even drag in an Excel spreadsheet). Basic Text and Logos for my bootlegs etc. I'm not interersted in spending more than 10 mins if possible. I burn so many that I can't take time. One key feature that I want on my audio disks is track playing times. This info is automatically added from the layout along with Band Name, Album Name, Song Names etc... Once I have one made I can make a copy of the layout. Open it. delete all the songs from audio layout. Place the new disc in and drag the songs in and edit the date, venue, titles etc and I'm ready to go in less than 5 minutes with a nice cover complete with playing times. The nasty bug is that when the layout hits a certain size the program will no longer open them and tell you its corrupt and then GPF. I found this in 3.0. Adaptec TS has acknowleged a # of times privately and publicly but hasn't fixed it yeet. I'm not graphically inclined so I avoid photoshop if all necessary. I lost you on some of the wizard problems. I don't know if I've ever seen a wizard while creating a cover. They finally added undo. earlier version lacked this... Another thing that sucks is that the graphics must be converted to BMP's because the file sizes are tpyically 3.5M

BTW: BEWARE the DISK COPIER APP CANNOT do a DAO COPY.

DAO copies must be done from CREATOR NOT COPIER.

GoldenHawk and Disc Juggler work good for pure DAO copies.

CREATOR will copy most anything just requires a little more knowledge and effort for the user. Audio disks are extrememly easy to dupe and create in CREATOR. DAO is very important for bootleggers. no one wants 2 second gaps in the crowd noise between songs. Especially when lots of songs run together.

Also. CD Creator is a great audio ripper (DAE). Just drag the track to the layout and then select 1 or more tracks and select pre-record to wav file. Always pre-record audio when dealing with unkown or less than perfect quality source. Scatches can cause lots of coasters. My plextor rips audio so fast I seldomly ever do disc to disc audio copies because of scratches. I have found no use for dedicated audio rippers because it works so well with the plextor. Plextor has their own ripper application as well.
