1.NewsTraders.com)-- Two affiliates of E*Trade Group (EGRP) have filed to sell a combined 1,397,317 common shares of the online broker, according to two Form 144s released by the SEC today.

General Atlantic Partners II LP filed to sell 1,226,029 shares worth $69.1 million, while GAP Coinvestment Partners LP filed to sell 171,288 shares worth $9.6 million, according to the regulatory papers.

William E. Ford, a director of E*Trade, is managing director of both affiliates, according to a proxy statement filed at the SEC on Jan. 19.

Both affiliates listed Feb. 3 as the intended date of sale.

E*Trade, which has experienced technical trouble at its site over the past two days, has 113.5 million shares outstanding.
