All I was trying to compare was the panic incurred by the two announcements. The panic last year seemed much more severe as the stock price was driven down by twice the percentage as this year. In this I am assuming that those driven by panic are out of the stock in the first day after the announcement. I think this is a fair assumption. I know that chartists use different methodologies and the price has recently dropped from $60Can but a year and a half ago it was much higher than that.
